Joe claims that he is the longest
"tenured" Rotarian in the club. He joined Rotary in 1975, and our club
recognizes his years of interest and commitment.
Joe has retired from the business that he started in 1974- the American Realty
Tax Service. In time, his company branched into twelve regional offices. This
tax service obtained and identified real estate tax bills for lending
institutions. Joe relates that in 1985, his company processed 1/3 of all tax
bills for New York City.
"Political Activist" is the way Joe describes himself - a free and
independent thinker. Two years ago, he had the opportunity to host some of the
Rotarians who came to this country from all over Russia. It was a great
experience, and Joe remains friends with them and plans a trip to Russia to
visit them. This week he is again hosting visiting Russians, offering them
accommodations in his large home in McLean. He has worked hard making
arrangements for significant political and cultural events for the visitors.
Joe has traveled extensively and named some of his favorite places: Austria,
Sweden, and the Virgin Islands.
